Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Plot Summary

Atmosphere follows a female astronaut in the 1980s Space Shuttle era as she navigates ambition, isolation, and love while training for and embarking on a high-stakes mission.

My Review

Right from the beginning of this book I was hooked, the pace was so fast.

The fact that we flicked between the tension of a modern day situation and the context of Vanessa and Joan’s love story meant that the overall emotion in the book built so well from chapter to chapter.

I loved the backdrop of a space programme, different to anything I’ve read before.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.
